This week in theaters, Thor: Ragnarok hits $431 million at the box office staying at the top of the charts in its second weekend. With 93% Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is action packed, while maintaining a comedic charm as the movie plays to the weirder aspects of the Marvel Universe.
Daddy’s Home 2, out the same week, only scored 17% Rotten Tomatoes with some not so great reviews.
This Friday, the Justice League move comes out. This movie encompasses the Batman vs Superman and Wonder Woman universe. Rotten Tomatoes delayed the ratings for this movie, until 2:50 am on Wednesday morning. The movie still scored a 6.6 out of 10 on IMDb, a good score.
Now out is the movie Wonder. This movie is based on the book Wonder, and is about a boy that has facial differences who enters 5th grade at a mainstream elementary school. The 7th Grade traveled to see this movie for a field trip after they read the book in class.

What’s Hot…Crocs!

The student body at Marion Center has gone through the list of trends, and it is no surprise that this one appeared too. Crocs seem to be the hottest thing in footwear happening this school year, and everyone has mixed feelings about it. There are many people embracing the trend, wearing crocs daily and in an array of colors. On pink out day, you could see Kate Poproch wearing her hot pink crocs bought especially for this occasion. People are going crazy over these shoes; most trend-embracers have multiple pairs. Alyx Cornetto says she has “one [pair of crocs] but a black pair is on the way.” The trend was seen at the end of last school year, too, when you could see Jackie Fetsko and Robin Schultz wearing the crocs to prom. Some people even wore the shoes to Homecoming this year!
Although most croc lovers seem to agree on the shoe itself, they don’t always agree on the mode: adventure or relaxed? In adventure mode the heal strap is rotated back behind the ankle so the crocs stay on during your “adventures.” In relaxed mode the croc is more like a slipper. Alyx says she is “adventure mode all the way!” No matter if you love crocs or hate them, she says “crocs are super comfortable; you should buy some.” There are many people who don’t prefer either mode, instead they just prefer no crocs. Some people don’t see the value in them calling them “weird and pointless”. Even though the school is split in their opinions of crocs, it doesn’t look like they will be leaving anytime soon… that is only if everyone keeps them in relaxed mode.
